The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies!
2 dozen cookies
Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
“Wet” Ingredients:
16 TBSP butter, softened
1 ¼ cup brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
3 eggs
1 TBSP vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Put butter in microwave safe bowl, and microwave until softened. (20-30 seconds.)
- Add sugars and mix until combined. (You want the sugars to start dissolving into the butter so that your cookies aren’t grainy.)
- Add eggs and vanilla and mix thoroughly.
“Dry” Ingredients:
3 ½ cups flour
¾ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
Instructions:
- Add flour, soda and salt on top of the wet ingredients, take a fork, and mix all the dry ingredients together, before mixing them thoroughly into the wet ingredients.
Extra Add-Ins:
2 cups Chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Stir in your chocolate chips.
(You can substitute 1 cup white chocolate chips and 1 cup cranberries for a variation.)
- Roll dough into ¼ cup sized balls. Spread cookie-dough-balls onto a baking sheet, approximately 2.5 inches apart.
- Bake at 325 degrees until the edges are golden, but the centers are still soft. (15-20 minutes.) Remove from oven and let rest at least 10 minutes before you eat.
