Sweet Tea and Rooibos

Hi! My name is Jennifer, and it’s so nice to have you here. This blog started out as (and primarily remains) a love letter to my kids. It is filled with all the things I never want them to forget and always want them to have access to. The more I write, the more this little space evolves. It is about my experiences as a follower of Jesus, a wife, a mother, a classical home-educator, and figuring out my next chapter now that my kids are nearly grown. I’m so grateful for this place to record all these precious memories.

Why? Because this time—THIS chapter—has been the greatest blessing of my life. I have NOT done it perfectly. This is absolutely a highlight reel. But these are the things I want my kids to remember forever. THESE are the things that have stood the test of time.

It’s like reading someone’s memoirs at the end of a special chapter, I suppose. They’re able to share with the perspective of hindsight. I hope that, if you are reading this, you’ll consider what parts of your day-to-day will stand the test of time. I hope you’ll do more of that. I hope you’ll be encouraged to truly focus on the things that are priceless and everlasting.
